Wellington 5 (2-0-0) - Beechcroft 0
Beechcroft is going to have a tough season this year as it seems there are no returning seniors. Coach Smith will be shaping a new team mostly made
up of Freshmen and Sophmores. It's a shame that a school with the population of males Beechcroft has that they can't get more Sr and Jr out to help.
RUMOR is that they'd rather sit the bench as second and third string on the Football team. What a shameful and terrible attitude. Not going to be much
help in being successful later in life (JMHO).

Walnut Ridge 1 (1-1-2)- Whetstone 1 (0-1-1)
Both teams are always strong in thier respective City Leagues.

Brookhaven 4 (3-0-0) - Whitehall 3
After being shut out last year by the Bearcats, Whitehall was not going to let that happen again. Word is that they picked up a player that will provide some
strong shooting. This player had sat out his Soph and Fresh year.
As has been the current trend of the last two years Brookhaven is looking strong but not playing teams at the level Northland has. Could be a false sence
of security that may surprise them in thier battle against the Vikings. Let's hope thier ready this year. Brookhaven needs to step up to the next level and
start playing some ranked teams. A close loss in a tough battle is going to serve them better than easy wins against lower lever teams.

Pickerington North 4 (2-1-0) - Northland 3 (1-2-0)
This is the kind of game I was talking about in the previous score. Northland is stepping up thier game by scheduling tougher opponents. Pickerington is
always a high seeded team in district playoffs. Playing teams like this is going to elevate Northlands game. Their seniors are looking good and not being
intimidated by the pressure. I see Northland doing something again this year. This is also going to help in post season playoffs.

Westland 2 (1-2-0) - Centennial 0 (1-1-1)
Westland is a good team but Centennial should have handled them. I believe that Centennial is a good enough program that can beat teams like
Westland.

NOTE: Please help me by getting game scores to me or posting them here. Lets show them the reason that soccer is the MOST popular sport in the
world. "American" rules "Football" is only popular in USA and MLS is slowly sneaking up in popularity. Soccer attendance overall is beating 9 of the
NFL teams.

Scores Aug 25,2007

Reynoldsburg 3 - Northland 2
Northland is going after the big names and big games and holding thier own. Reynoldsburg is another top name in Central Ohio soccer.
Mahumaud and Dapaa each contribute to keep this game close. Belisle (Keeper) helps with 8 saves

Northside Christian 1 (0-0-2) - Centennial 1 (1-0-1)
Centennial has proven in the past to always be a contender. They got their feathers ruffled the last couple years by Brookhaven appearing out of no where
and challenging the City League North that was being shared by Centennial, Whetstone and Northland.
Goal: Kankam, Saves: Guroy 2

Logan 4 (1-0-0) - Briggs 0 (0-3-0)
Briggs is a City South contender and will be interesting see how they develop this year.

Whetsone 3, Briggs 1
Whetstone - Goals: Fuller, Burton, Adams. Saves: Rahimy 6
Briggs - Goals: Espinosa. Saves: Brumfield 17

Review: Brookhaven put a lot of pressure on Walnut Ridge but couldn't seem to finish. Brookhaven found themselves offside too many times. The Ridge
Keeper did an excellent job in preventing several other goals. Ridge needs to execute more passing. They seemed confused and selfish on the attacks.
More passing would have allowed them to break through the Haven defense. Emmanuel Yeboah was his ever strong and intimidating in the defense.
Could some of the 'Havens problems be adjusting to a new head coach. Let's see if they settle down over the next couple games.

Based on the score can Centennial be back? A perenial stronghouse in the north for years Centennial has seemed to be in a rebuilding stage of the last
several years. But if the London keeper really had 11 saves could Centennial be having some problems finding the net?

No real surprise in the Whetstone and Briggs game. Whetsone has been trying to find it self for the last several years. Briggs is always one of the
contenders in the City South along with West.

Were there any other games on tuesday?
