Beechcroft 5 (1-3-0) - Briggs 2 (0-6-0)
The Cougars are a young team showing some great promise. Beechcroft is a team made up mostly of Sophmores and Freshmen. They showed the
threat they could be in the next couple of years by soundly beating Briggs.
Briggs showed some aggressive attacks but just couldn't find the back of the net for better finishes. The Bruins seemed to be able to penetrate the
Beechcroft defense but through the lack of a finnishing shot and the hard work of Cougar Keeper Zach Davis the Bruins could not score.

Centennial 2 (3-2-0) - Walnut Ridge 0 (2-2-2)
Centennial posts their second shut out of the season.

Northland 12 (2-3-0) - Franklin Heights 2 (0-3-0)
When Northland wins they win big. This is only thier second win this season but it is also their second double digit win. After playing 3 tough teams (2 of
which rank in the top 10 this season) in a row Northland comes back and crushes Franklin Heights. Northland is still a major player in the CCL race.

Whetstone 3 (2-2-2) - Grandview 2 (3-1-1)
Whetstone evens thier season out at 2 wins - 2 losses - 2 ties.

Brookhaven 5 (3-2-1) - Grove City 5 (2-3-1)
Brookhaven should have had this one easy but kept allowing Grove City get into their net. At the half Brookhaven was ahead 4-3. Grove City kept up the
pressure and got the tie for the record. A quick observation: Brookhaven spent a lot of time playing like MLS.... they stopped their play when ever they felt
they had a foul and looked to or argued with the officials. The Bearcats need to keep playing until the whistle. This kind of behavior only provided Grove City
with open field to run. Brookhavens' other weakness is leaving the midfield open. Too many of the midfield were way to far up on the attack and not getting
back fast enough to stop Grove Citys' attack runs.
Speaking of whistles there was an unfortunate situation when, during a free kick against Brookhaven, the rear official blew his whistle after the lead official
did (a minute or so after) and Brookhaven thought an infraction had been called. Grove City took advantage of the confusion and got an easy goal.
