Northland starts its' season out strong with 41-19 romp over Beechcroft.
Beechcroft started the game fairly strong by taking a 7-1 lead early in the first
period. Northland essentially stayed with them on the run but could not seem
to produce on each of its' runs. By the second period Northland started to pull
it together and took the lead. The third and fourth periods were all Northland.
Beechcroft could not seem to get anything else to drop. Northland stepped up
the defense and got quite a few steals.
The high scorer for Beechcroft was #14 Lashelle Harris with 5. #23 Kara
Grooms and #24 Princess Kuumba added 4 each. Also contributing were #24
Miyoshi McGee, #34 TaRonna Neal, and #55 Au-Juvan Andrews.
In double figures for Northland were #23 Destiny Gaston and #30 Jasmine
Anderson with 12pts each. Also contributing were #10 Sierra Lemon with 7,
#33 Cynthia Lemon with 6 and #21 Tyler Eiland with 4.
